Meet Pramono, Minister Of Social Affairs Asks For Land To Build People's School Buildings In Jakarta
JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) met with the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung at the DKI Jakarta City Hall. One of the things discussed was the People's School program.
Gus Ipul asked the DKI Provincial Government to provide land for the construction of the People's School building permanently so that one of President Prabowo Subianto's flagship programs can run in a sustainable manner.
"Regarding this People's School, in addition to schools of course Jakarta residents, we hope that the Governor will provide land support for permanent schools or permanent public schools," said Gus Ipul at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Friday, October 24.
According to Gus Ipul, currently there are three locations for the People's School in Jakarta, namely Pondok Indah, Bambu Apus, and Pasar Rebo, which are still using the temporary building belonging to the Ministry of Social Affairs.
"We need cooperation, land is provided by DKI, the picture has been made by the President's team. God willing, if it matches the land, it will be built by the Ministry of Public Works using APBN funds as part of the President's strategic program," he said.

Responding to this, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that the DKI Provincial Government is willing to prepare land for the construction of the People's School in Jakarta.
"For people's schools, the DKI Jakarta Government will immediately close, decide, propose areas that the DKI Jakarta Government will indeed be able to prepare for their land. But entirely those who will build are the APBN, the central government," said Pramono.
In addition to discussing the issue of People's Schools, Gus Ipul and Pramono also discussed the revival of social health centers (puskessos) by placing assistants or social empowerment volunteers at the village level.
"Regarding Pusessos, that is cooperation at the village level. If that can be done, then Jakarta will be a role model for solving things related to poverty, disadvantage, school management," explained Pramono.
