South Sumatra BUMD, Petro Muba Starts Selling Oil From People's Wells To Pertamina

JAKARTA - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) revealed that the regional-owned enterprise (BUMD) of the energy sector from South Sumatra, PT Petro Muba, had sold oil from people's wells to PT Pertamina (Persero).

Head of SKK Migas Djoko Siswanto said sales were known to have been made on Thursday, October 23 from Petro Muba to Pertamina's terminal.

"Alhamdulillah, last night it flowed from Petro Muba to Pertamina Ramba Terminal," Djoko told the media crew, Friday, October 24.

However, Djoko was reluctant to elaborate further on the amount of oil that had been sold to Pertamina.

When asked about Medco Energy's plan to absorb oil from people's wells, Djoxis said it would be carried out in the near future.

"Later, after this. One by one," continued Djoko.

Previously, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia revealed a 80 percent purchase scheme for people's oil production from the Indonesian Crude Price (ICP). This policy is designed to provide economic certainty to miners while encouraging them to operate under the umbrella of official regulations.

"The government wants to ensure that people's oil activities continue to run, but must be orderly and according to the rules. With a purchase price of 80 percent of the ICP, people still get decent profits, while the state can monitor this activity, according to the rules," said Bahlil.

Bahlil emphasized that the arrangement of people's wells is not only to increase production, but also to increase economic value in a sustainable manner while maintaining the safety of workers and environmental sustainability. He requested that local governments, BUMD, and SKK Migas strengthen coordination in technical and administrative assistance for people miners.

"If all parties work together, the community will prosper and the state will benefit. This is the spirit of the government's alignment with the small people," said Bahlil.
