Head of Public Relations of the Central Sulawesi Police, Kombes Pol. Djoko Wienartono said the incident occurred on Thursday, October 23 and was part of the development of a drug case carried out by the Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Gorontalo Police with the support of security from the Central Sulawesi Police Satbrimob.
"Yes, that's right, on Thursday the ranks of the Central Sulawesi Police Satbrimob were asked to provide security assistance by the Gorontalo Police Narcotics Investigation Directorate in developing a drug case in Kayumue Village, North Palu," he said in Palu, Friday, which was confiscated by Antara.
He explained that the raid was the result of cross-provincial cooperation between the Gorontalo Police and the Central Sulawesi Regional Police.
For temporary data, he said, the police managed to secure a woman suspected of being a drug dealer, along with a number of evidences in the form of methamphetamine and cash.
"During the arrest process, the situation on the ground was tense because there was resistance from some residents who did not accept it. However, the officers managed to control the situation without casualties," he said.
