Lorde Promises No Need For Too Long For New Music Release
JAKARTA - A pop singer from New Zealand, Lorde, recently gave strong instructions that fans don't have to wait too long to enjoy his latest music.
This signal comes after he completed a series of Ultrasound world tours in North America, a tour organized to promote his fourth album, Virgin, which was released last June.
As is known, the album Virgin comes four years later from the previous release, Solar Power. However, for the upcoming new material, the 28-year-old singer ensures that the distance will not be long.
"I really feel very active and don't need to rest from creative affairs. To be honest, I feel like I'm never satisfied," Lorde said in a recent interview with Variety.
"I don't know (when to release new music), but I have promised that the release period will not be four years (again). So I have to keep that up," he continued.
Meanwhile, Lorde described the album Virgin as a very crude and innocent work. I really try not to dramatize or decorate it. So I know the approach has to go on tour," he said.

Interestingly, his secret performances when debuting songs from the album in Glastonbury 2025 last summer became a kind of turning point.
He explained how the set in Glastonbury formed an ongoing tour. "The big lesson I took from there was, 'You have to go and dance.' Because I don't feel too connected to my body, and I know that the movement should be a freer, rawer movement. When walking off stage, I thought, 'You're going to do the choreography.'"
Although the movement was ultimately more spontaneous, he admitted that he had spent a lot of time working on his songs at a physical level.
Currently, Lorde is preparing to resume the Ultrasound tour in England and Europe, starting next month, including two concerts at The O2 London.
