KSAL Calls KRI Fire-622 Hybrid Machine Symbol Of Modernization Of Sea Alutsista

JAKARTA - The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy (KSAL) Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali revealed that the KRI forced-622 was a symbol of the effort to modernize the main weapon system (alutsista) of the sea.

"KRImen-622 is a realization of the priority program for the development of the Indonesian Navy, namely the modernization of defense equipment and efforts to meet the needs of the Indonesian Navy's defense equipment," Ali said while in North Jakarta's Korinlamil, Friday.

KRImen-622 is considered a symbol of modernization because this 60-meter missile speedboat (KCR) has one unique advantage over other KRIs owned by the Indonesian Navy, namely hybrid engines.

The hybrid engine in question consists of propulsion water jets and propellers that make the KRI fuel efficient but still have great energy. In addition, Ali continued, this ship was made by a ship from Indonesia, namely PT. Tesco Indomaritim.

This is what makes the KRI Nazir-622 a symbol of the advancement of domestic defense equipment technology.

According to Ali, this is also in line with the government's plan to improve the quality of domestic production defense equipment.

"The commitment of the leadership of the Indonesian Navy to support and succeed in government programs is to increase the use of domestic production and the independence of the defense industry," said Ali.

With the KRI fire-622, Ali hopes that the strength of the Indonesian Navy's sea defense will be stronger in maintaining Indonesia's maritime territory.

For information, the day the Ministry of Defense handed over the KRI FARm-622 to the Indonesian Navy after previously being built by PT. Tesco Indomaritim.

This KCR-type ship has previously gone through the process of naming a ship naming in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Wednesday, October 1.

After it is finished being handed over, the ship will later serve in the Fleet Command (Koarmad) III area located in the Sorong area, Papua, Southwest.
