French Open 2025: 3 Indonesian Representatives In The Quarter-Finals

JAKARTA The majority of Indonesian representatives who qualified for the second round of the French Open 2025 failed to continue their steps to the quarter-finals, leaving only three who survived.

The series of matches for the second round of the BWF Super 750 level event were completed on Thursday, October 23, 2025, evening WIB. Seven Indonesian representatives lifted their suitcases from a total of 10 who broke through the second half.

One of the three tickets secured by Indonesia belongs to Alwi Farhan. The 2023 junior world champion extended his journey in the tournament by stopping Nhat Nguyen (Ireland).

In the quarter-finals, Alwi will face a tough test meeting Thailand's mainstay, Kunlavut Vitidsarn, who is the third seed at the Glaz Arena, France.

On paper, Kunlavut is definitely more seeded because in their two previous competitive clashes this year he has always won, successively at the China Open and the World Championships.

The other two tickets belonged to the men's doubles Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri and Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani.

Fajar/Rian escaped after defeating Denmark's Daniel Lundgaard/Mads Vestergaard, while Sabar/Reza won versus their compatriot Muhammad Rian Ardianto/Rahmat Hidayat.

In the quarter-finals, both of them fought representatives of Malaysia. Fajar/Rian met Junaidi Arif/Roy King Yap, while Sabar/Reza will meet second seed Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik.

The French Open 2025 quarter-final match will take place on Friday, October 24, 2025. The series of matches will start at 10.00 local time or 15.00 WIB.
