Jaklingko Type Suzuki Carry Burns Due To Short Circuit In Jatinegara

JAKARTA - The general transportation of Jaklingko type Suzuki Carry with the number B 1076 VT was burned by fire on Jalan DI Panjaitan, Bypass, RT 15/07, North Cipinang Besar Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta, Thursday night, October 23, 2025.

According to witness testimony, the fire incident began with sparks in the transportation.

"Initially there were passengers who saw smoke on the passenger bench in the driver's seat. He shouted 'fire'," said another witness, passenger.

Knowing that there was a fire, the Jaklingko driver pulled out his vehicle and evacuated the passenger out of the car. Then the driver tried to extinguish the fire and reported it to the nearest fire department.

After receiving the report, the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. deployed 1 car with 5 personnel to the fire site to extinguish the fire.

"The fire was extinguished at 23.07 WIB. The cause of the fire was electricity," said the officer in his statement, Friday, October 24, 2025.

There were no casualties or injuries as a result of the fire incident. However, the condition of the car was burned, material losses were still being recorded.
