Man From Semarang Hanged Himself While Live TikTok

DENPASAR - A man with the initials TS (32) from Semarang, Central Java, died by hanging himself while live on TikTok.

Kasih Humas Polresta Denpasar Kompol Ketut Sukadi mengatakan, peristiwa itu pada Rabu (22/10) sekitar pukul 17.00 WITA di kamar indekosnya, di Desa Padangsambian Klod, Kecamatan Denpasar Barat, Kota Denpasar, Bali.

"During the hanging, the victim was live on social media Tiktok," said Kompol Sukadi, Thursday, October 23.

Based on witness testimony, the victim had time to drink wine and then said goodbye to the boarding house.

The witness then received a chat from a friend who asked to visit the victim's boarding house because of the TikTok live video.

"Furthermore, a screenshot was sent of the victim hanging himself, where the victim hanged himself while live on TikTok," he added

"At that time, the victim was seen hanging himself. Then the witness informed the owner of the boarding house and reported it to the authorities," he said.

From the results of the examination by the Denpasar Police identification officer, on the victim's neck there were bruises due to the snares used by the victim hanging himself.

"Currently, the motive for the victim to commit suicide is not yet known by hanging himself at the crime scene," he said.
