Central Lombok Police Ready To Take Firm Action Against Anarchic Debt Colector

CENTRAL LOMBOK - Central Lombok Police, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province stated that they are committed to taking firm action against debt collectors (DC) who commit acts of anarchism and thuggery in collecting debts to the public.

"We agreed to take firm action against debt collectors who commit acts of anarchism and thuggery that harm the community," said Central Lombok Police Chief AKBP Eko Yusmiarto when receiving the actions of residents who were starting to get restless with the actions of the DC person in Central Lombok, Antara, Thursday, October 23.

He said the Central Lombok Police would not tolerate the actions of debt collectors who commit acts of thuggery and can harm the community.

"Let's protect each other and we will not give opportunities for debt collectors who commit acts of anarchy," he said.

He invited all levels of society to maintain security and comfort in Central Lombok.

"Let's protect each other for the common interest and progress in development in Central Lombok," he said.

The Central Lombok Police also asked the public if on the road there was a debt collector trying to take a vehicle or collect a debt, so that the community suggested that it be taken to the nearest police station. So that later the police will resolve the issue by calling both parties.

"So if it is intercepted by a debt collector or anyone who claims to be business from finance, please take it to the nearest Polsek so that it is brokered," he said.

He said that later at the police station the police would try to intervene in what kind of solution if there was a problem. Although his party admitted that in terms of regulations, the revocation of the vehicle must have a decision from the court which has permanent legal force.

"But we can't say he (debt collector) is legal or illegal, just finish it at the police station and we'll see the real legality," he said.
