Visitors To The Class IIA Jakarta Narcotics Prison Enter 10 Packages Of Methamphetamine Into The Kecap Chicken

JAKARTA - A visitor to the Class IIA Jakarta Narcotics Prison located in Cipinang, East Jakarta with the initials MN failed to smuggle 10 small packages of methamphetamine that were put into processed soy sauce chicken foods.

Information was obtained, at that time MN wanted to visit one of the inmates with the initials RS at the Class IIA Jakarta narcotics Prison on Wednesday, October 23, 2025.

Initially, MN brought food when he was about to visit one of the inmates in the prison. MN put methamphetamine-type drugs into chicken meat, bones, and ceker which had been processed with soy sauce.

Then at 14.30 WIB, the MN perpetrator registered a visit service at the Class IIA Jakarta Narcotics Prison. After inputting the data, MN was directed to the food checkpoint.

Furthermore, the food brought by MN was examined by 3 officers from the Class IIA Jakarta Narcotics Prison.

During the food inspection, the three officers found small plastics suspected of being methamphetamine.

Furthermore, the food inspector reported the findings to the Head of Sub-Security and forwarded them to the Head of Security and Head of KPLP. The report was forwarded to the East Jakarta Metro Police and Kalapas.

At 15.40 WIB, members of the East Jakarta Metro Police arrived at the prison area to follow up on the findings. The police then carried out an initial stage examination starting from the balance of evidence and the chronology of the incident. Officers obtained 10 packages of methamphetamine of different sizes.

Head of the Class IIA Jakarta Narcotics Prison, Syarpani, said his party would continue to tighten supervision and not tolerate any forms of violations that threaten security and order in prisons.

"Every smuggling attempt, no matter how small, we will take firm action. The Jakarta Narcotics Prison is committed to creating an environment free from drugs and prohibited goods," he said when confirmed, Thursday, October 23.

From the results of the interim examination of the MN perpetrators, previously the perpetrator communicated with the hospital through a food stall (telecommunications representative specifically for correctional facilities).

Wartelsuspas is a legal communication facility provided at the Correctional Institution (Lapas) and Detention Center (Rutan) for inmates or inmates (prisoners).

Syarpani suspects that this communication is a means of regulating the smuggling effort.
