French Open 2025: Indonesian Women's Singles Ludes
JAKARTA The Indonesian women's singles at the French Open 2025 event was confirmed to be over after Putri Kusuma Wardani was also eliminated from the tournament because she lost against Tomoka Miyazaki.
Putri, who is the seventh seed, had to bury her dream in the Super 750 BWF level tournament after suffering the defeat of two straight games 18-21 and 15-21 on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, evening WIB.
Although she never excelled over Tomoka during the first game, Putri appeared satisfying. She repeatedly put pressure on him, including rising from behind 9-14 and equalizing the score.

Then in the second game, Tomoka's journey was much easier. The 2022 junior world champion badminton player only got a draw with Putri twice.
This is the second consecutive defeat suffered by Putri against the Japanese women's tuggal after previously taking place in the second round of the Denmark Open 2025 last week.
Putri and Tomoka now have a record 3-3 draw-loss. Another defeat suffered by the Tangerang-born badminton player occurred in the quarter-finals of the Macau Open last year.
In this tournament, Putri went down with her senior Gregoria Mariska Tunjung. However, the bronze medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympics had already returned home on the first day, Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
Gregoria is also in the middle of a very unsatisfactory performance. At the Denmark Open 2025 last week, he also immediately lifted his suitcase in the first half.
