Convoluted Doesn't Heal? Eat Kiwi Regularly Help Launch Defecation

The convoluted condition is a difficulty to defecate (BAB) which is characterized by a defecation frequency of less than three times a week, hard and dry, and a feeling of incompleteness after the defecation.

This condition can have an impact on a person's quality of life, so it must be overcome. There are many ways to overcome constipation, but one unexpected thing that turns out to be effective is consuming kiwi.

Quoted from the BBC, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, research from King's College London shows that consumption of two to three kiwis every day can help improve the digestive system. The fruit can stimulate the contraction of the intestines well, thereby facilitating the defecation.

"Serat in kiwi fruit can affect the intestines by increasing the volume of the feces, which also stimulates intestinal contraction," said lead author of research and nutrition science lecturer, Dr. Eirini Dimidi.

In one kiwi there are about two grams of fiber. The study also confirms that consumption of two kiwis every day can help soften sleepiness, increase water levels in the intestines, thus helping the fecess out more easily.

Kiwi juga meningkatkan kandungan air ke dalam ulu yang dapat melulemkan kace," tambahnya.

To consume kiwi, you can eat it directly with the skin so that the fiber content received by the body is more. However, if you peel the skin before eating it, it doesn't matter either, because the fiber content is still good.

"Even without skin, it (the student) is good and contains fiber," concluded Doctor Dimidi.
