JAKARTA - The Ministry of Immigration and Corrections (Kemenmipas) through the Directorate General of Corrections (Ditjen PAS) destroyed weapons to cellphones obtained during raids in correctional institutions to detention centers.

This step is a form of commitment to zero mobile phones, illegal levies, and drugs (halinar).

"We are committed, in this case the heads of prisons throughout Indonesia, so that there is not a single cellphone in the prison," Agus said as quoted from the video.

He explained that 11,962 raids had been carried out by the Ministry of Intelligence since standing in the era of President Prabowo Subianto. As a result, 24,537 sharp weapons, 10,572 cellphones, and 21,843 other electronic objects were confiscated until October 2025.

The raid also found nine drug cases. These findings were then destroyed according to the rules.

"Including prison officers while at work, because sometimes they use officers. We have also given strict punishment from mutation to legal punishment," said Agus.

Agus said that inmates with severe penalties and it is still indicated that drug trafficking will get more optimal security. This step was taken to create a more conducive condition.

"They are given severe punishment and are still indicated by drug trafficking networks, we will move them to Nusakambangan prison, super maximum security. Hopefully, by placing them there, they can cut their network," he said.

This activity, said Mashudi, is a form of agreement and seriousness of the Ditjenpas ranks in eradicating halinar in prisons and detention centers.

"Thank you to all the UPTs that have implemented the Acceleration Program of the Minister of Immigration and Corrections. This commitment is not only written, but a real action that is emphasized regularly," he said.

"We again emphasize so that there are no security violations so that there is no circulation of cellphones, extortion, and drugs (halinar), as well as fraud against inmates. We remind you that there is no more violence against inmates. If there is still a violation, an evaluation and disciplinary punishment will be applied," he continued.
