Workers At The West Jakarta Drug Factory Claim To Learn To Make Ecstasy From Social Media
Six people arrested in the raid on an ecstasy factory in North Kedoya, West Jakarta admitted to learning to make ecstasy from social media. And, the tools used to print the pills were purchased from online stores.
Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro explained, raw materials and equipment for making ecstasy were obtained through an online system.
The perpetrators, continued Kombes Susatyo, rented a place in North Kedoya on October 29, 2025 and immediately prepared production equipment.
"They only operated about a week before the goods circulated. Fortunately, our team managed to take action first," he said.
The perpetrators studied the technique of producing ecstasy through social media. The results of the production are not ready to be circulated because the quality is considered low.
The engine capacity used is able to print up to 5,000 pills per hour, but because the raw materials are not complete, the results are only around 3,000 ecstasy pills.
"Production has only been running for about a week, and the goods have not been circulated yet," he said.

Previously, the police confiscated 80 thousand ecstasy pills from the raids carried out on Sunday, October 12, at around 20.00 WIB on Jalan Mangga Besar XIII, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta.
Kombes Susatyo said the six perpetrators arrested had the initials PM (35), TM (35), MAF (31), MAN (33), MA (32) and AA (26). The six suspects have different roles.
"The suspect PM (35) acts as the head of production, TM (35) as the controller of the process, MAF (31) as mixer, MAN (33) as mechanics and packaging, MA (32) as the counter and packaging, and AA (26) who help with the packaging process," said Kombes Susatyo when confirmed, Tuesday, October 21.
From the location of the raid, the police confiscated 3,232 ecstasy pills weighing a total of 1.7 kilograms, as well as 4.1 kilograms of dough and various mixing materials with a total weight of 30 to 40 kilograms.
Other evidence includes two units of narcotics printer machines, one mixing machine, digital scales, aluminum containers, alcohol, clear plastic, and eight mobile phones.
All raw materials are processed, the amount is estimated to reach 80,000 ecstasy pills.
From the results of the examination, three of the perpetrators were old players in the world of drugs.
One recidivist drug case with a sentence of eight years, one person was a courier with a sentence of five years, and the other was caught in a liquid narcotics case for four years.
The perpetrators were charged with Article 113 paragraph (2), Article 114 paragraph (2), Article 112 paragraph (2), and Article 132 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with the threat of a maximum sentence of death or life imprisonment.
