Give Free Try Out, Pramono Wants KJP Pede Holders To Continue Lecture

JAKARTA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta launched the Try Out Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) program for class XII students receiving KJP Plus in the East Jakarta area. This program provides opportunities for students to take the university entrance exam simulations for free.

The launch of the program was carried out directly by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, at the East Jakarta Mayor's Office, Tuesday, October 21.

Pramono said that this try out activity is a form of the DKI Provincial Government's commitment to expanding access to higher education for students who receive KJP Plus assistance.

"The hope is that students get a fair and equal opportunity, which then makes them more confident to be able to go to college according to their respective choices," said Pramono.

This first try out was attended by 472 class XII students from six State High Schools in East Jakarta. This activity is designed so that students can measure academic abilities as well as recognize the selection test pattern of state universities (PTN) directly.

In addition, the trial out implementation system allows the results to be monitored in real time, so that the participants' achievements can be used as evaluation material to improve their achievements and motivation to learn.

This program is a collaboration between the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, the Education Office, and the East Jakarta City Government. In the future, Pramono requested that the implementation of the KJP try out can be implemented in all areas of Jakarta.

"East Jakarta is an initiator, as a beginner. Hopefully this program will be sustainable and involve BUMN, BUMD, and the private sector with a creative financing concept," he said.

Meanwhile, East Jakarta Mayor Munjirin called this try out program the first in DKI Jakarta and became the first step in equitable learning opportunities for KJP Plus recipients of class XII.

"We want to provide equal learning opportunities for all grade 12 students who receive KJP so that they have the same experience and confidence as other students when facing college entrance exams," said Munjirin.

The trial out was carried out in a hybrid manner, with 34 principals and 286 students present at the launch site, while six other schools attended online.

This 'Try out' will be carried out in five periods until February 2026. All of them take advantage of their respective school facilities such as computer laboratories and internet networks," he explained.

The materials tested include Skolastic (TPS) and Literacy Potential, following the PTN entrance exam structure.
