Director General Of Taxes Reveals Various Tax Policies In One Year Prabowo Government

JAKARTA - Director General of Taxes (Director General of Taxes) of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) Bimo Wijayanto explained a number of tax incentives that had been given during the one year administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"This is indeed the first related to tax incentives, various incentives for relief and tax facilities have been rolled out to help the community and business," he said in the Media Briefing of the Directorate General of Taxes, Monday, October 20.

One form of this incentive is income tax (PPh) Article 21 of Government Borne (DTP) for employees in strategic sectors such as textiles, footwear, finished clothing, furniture, as well as tourism, hotels, restaurants, and cafes, which will be valid until the end of 2025.

In addition, the government also provides Value Added Tax (VAT) incentives to encourage public consumption, namely VAT DTP for purchasing landed houses, flats, electric and hybrid vehicles, as well as purchasing plane tickets.

In addition, support for MSME actors is also a priority, namely MSMEs with a turnover of up to IDR 500 million, still free from the obligation to pay PPh. Meanwhile, MSMEs with turnover between IDR 500 million to IDR 4.8 billion are subject to a Final PPh rate of 0.5 percent. This policy has been extended until 2029.

Not only focusing on incentives, but Bimo also emphasized the government's commitment to increasing supervision and law enforcement in the field of taxation.

"We are now focusing on law enforcement of multidoors through the PKH Task Force. This PKH Task Force focuses on controlling forest areas for the palm oil and mining sectors. Then we have formed a joint team together with BPKP, with PPATK related to the execution of the PKH Task Force, also of course with the Attorney General's Office," he added.

In addition, he added that his party also collaborated with the KPK to improve state revenue governance, especially in the mining sector. As well as coordinating with the National Police for supervision of the mining sector, importing commodities, and shadowing economic practices (shadow economy).

"Then collaboration with OJK in the Task Force is certain, then collaboration with PPATK. Then we have also conveyed the total related to these achievements at the last conference," he concluded.
