2 Police Members Victims Of KKB Shooting In Nabire Undergo Intensive Care
NABIRE - Two of the four members of the National Police who were victims of the shooting by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Nabire Regency, Central Papua, are still undergoing intensive treatment at the Nabire Hospital.
The two victims were the Head of Traffic at the Nabire Police, Iptu Hardiman Sirait (45) and Bripka Laode Munafrin Isra (30). Both have undergone surgery after suffering gunshot wounds during the incident on Friday, October 17.
"The condition of the two members of the Nabire Police is in a stable condition," said Central Papua Police Irwasda Kombes Pol Gatot Suprasetya, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, October 19.
In addition to the two victims, the other two members who were injured were Thomas H Bkantrarisi (26) and Galuh Yudistiawan (28). Both of them had received medical treatment and are now in good condition.

According to information gathered, the shooting occurred at around 14:40 WIT, shortly after a group of Central Papuan police chiefs inspected the location of the previous shooting of civilian vehicles in the Topo area, which killed one person.
The shooting was allegedly carried out by the KKB led by Aibon Kogoya, an armed group that often operates in the mountainous region of Central Papua. The police are currently pursuing the perpetrators.
