Palestine Urges European Union To Maintain Ceasefire In Gaza

JAKARTA - Palestinian Foreign Minister and Expatriate, Varsen Aghabekian urged the European Union (EU) to take concrete steps to ensure the ceasefire in Gaza is still enforced by all parties.

This was conveyed by Foreign Minister Aghabekian when meeting with EU policy advisers on the sidelines of the Mediterranean Dialogue conference in Napoli, Italy.

According to him, the move includes strict monitoring of the implementation of the ceasefire and the prevention of violations by Israeli Zionist forces.

As reported by ANTARA from WAFA, Aghabekian also called for the peace plan proposed by the United States government to be harmonized with the New York Declaration to encourage a two-state solution and maintain Palestinian territorial unity.

The Palestinian Foreign Minister emphasized that signatories, including EU member states, must take concrete steps to implement the provisions of the declaration.
