Nusantara Regas Has Distributed 305 BBTUD Gas For West Java Electricity Since January-September

JAKARTA - PT Nusantara Regas (NR), part of Pertamina's Gas Subholding, recorded that it had distributed 305 BBTUD of gas throughout January September 2025.

This gas supply is used to support the electricity supply in the West Java region.

President Director of PT Nusantara Regas Mohd Iskandar Mirza said, throughout January 'September 2025, Nusantara Regas has distributed more than 82 million MMBTU gas, with an average distribution of 9.2 million MMBTU per month.

"This achievement confirms NR's commitment to maintaining the sustainability of clean energy supply for the electricity sector," he said, Friday, October 17.

He added that recently NR received its 30th LNG cargo again in 2025 at the FSRU Nusantara Regas Satu facility.

The LNG boat-to-ship (STS) transfer process took place on October 6, 2025 from the LNG Prima Concord ship to FSRU Nusantara Regas Satu with a volume of 130 thousand m3 LNG from the Tangguh LNG Refinery.

Gas results from the regasification are then distributed to meet the primary energy needs at PLN power plants, namely PLTGU Muara Karang, Tanjung Priok, and Muara Tawar.

With this 30th LNG cargo receipt, the Regas Nusantara continues to maintain the continuity of energy supply to the region. The increasing trend of LNG needs for electricity and industry in western Java is a challenge in the allocation of energy supply, but NR facilities are always ready to receive LNG to meet the gas deficit," he explained.

Mirza added that the success of this operation was the result of close coordination with various stakeholders, ranging from the government, LNG providers to offtakers or gas users.

In addition, NR also continues to maintain consistent and measurable asset management as reflected in the current Plant Availability Factor performance targeted above 97 percent by the end of the year and Plant Thermal Efficiency which reached 98.82 percent.

LNG's continuous cargo revenue not only ensures the fulfillment of electricity needs in West Java, but also strengthens national energy independence through the management of the FSRU Nusantara Regas infrastructure which is integrated with a very strategic gas distribution and transmission network in Jakarta.

NR is exploring the potential for FSRU utilization as a terminal hub for retail or small-scale LNG businesses with SH Gas affiliates so that NR also takes part in fulfilling energy for the hotel, restaurant, cafe (Horeka), property or housing markets.
