Erick Thohir Asks For Dualism For Sports Parts To Be Completed In 3 Months
JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Erick Thohir, requested that the dualism of sports branches must be resolved in three months until the beginning of next year.
Erick said that he had sent a letter to the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) and the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) to ask to unravel the tangled thread.
"I ask that within three months the dualism issue will no longer exist so that in January (2026) if it is still there, I apologize, deliberation and consensus have been given, in January we will take a position," said Erick.
The dualism of sports branches is still one of the issues that continues to be highlighted. Some organizations that are still divided are boxing and table tennis.

Erick emphasized that sports stakeholders and federations need to resolve this issue so that efforts to improve Indonesia's achievements also run smoothly.
"If you have consolidated as a sports family, then we will talk about the target road map (road map) for sports. What kind of SEA Games, Asian Games, and Olympics," he said.
Dualism in boxing, for example, gave birth to the Central Board of the Indonesian Amateur Boxing Association (PP Pertina) and the Indonesian Boxing Executive Board (PB Perbati).
The table tennis polemic has resurfaced with protests from the Executive Board of the Indonesian Table Tennis Association (PB PTMSI) against the emergence of the Indonesia Pingpong League (IPL).
