PKS Wants Its Cadres To Be Komcad, Asks For State Defense Training Directly From The Ministry Of Defense

JAKARTA - A number of high-ranking officials from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) met with the Minister of Defense (Menhan) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin at the Ministry of Defense (Kemenhan) Office, Central Jakarta, Friday, October 17.

The PKS group was led by PKS President Al Muzzammil Yusuf, accompanied by the Chairman of the PKS Syuro Council Sohibul Iman, PKS Secretary General M Kholid, and PKS Presidential Chief of Staff Pipin Sopian.

Sohibul Iman explained that his meeting with Defense Minister Sjafrie was not the first time this had been done. However, this time he came to introduce the new ranks of PKS leaders.

"This time it's special because I brought the new PKS leadership, Mr. Muzzammil as the President of the Party, then Mas Kholid as Secretary General, and Kang Pipin as Head of the PKS Presidential Staff Office," said Sohibul.

During the meeting, PKS filed a collaboration with the Ministry of Defense regarding cadre training in the field of resilience and defending the country.

Our regeneration system in the field of resilience, guidance, and defending the country has been running for a long time. We have a program called Kembara, the National Defense Camp. We convey our desire to be able to cooperate with the Ministry of Defense for cadre training," explained Sohibul.

He hopes that the training can strengthen PKS' contribution in supporting national defense.

"Hopefully this will be part of our participation in defending the country and become a reserve component (komcad) in our defense," he said.

In addition to discussing training cooperation, Sohibul also discussed with Sjafrie about a new approach to the national defense system, namely human security approach or human security approach.

This approach exceeds the issue of military physical defense. It includes economic security, food security, health security, environmental security, personal security, community security, and political security," said Sohibul.

Defense Minister Sjafrie welcomed the visit. He said the Ministry of Defense took advantage of the opportunity to explain the concept of the Universal People's War, which is part of a national defense strategy.

"We were visited to strengthen national unity while at the same time inducing the Universal People's War that we built in order to support national stability," said Sjafrie.
