High Risk Of Prisoner Status, Ammar Zoni Will Be Isolated In Nusakambangan
JAKARTA - The status as a high-risk prisoner makes Ammar Zoni now have to live a very different life in the Nusakambangan Super Maximum Prison.
He will be placed in an isolation cell under super tight supervision, a treatment equal to more than 1,500 other high-risk inmates.
The Head of the Sub-Directorate for Cooperation of the Directorate General of Corrections, Rika Aprianti, explained in detail the treatment that Ammar Zoni would receive.
"This high risk is Ammar Zoni and friends, placed in one cell. Super Maximum Security. There activities are carried out only in cells," said Rika Aprianti in the Central Jakarta area, Thursday, October 16.
Prisoners, including Ammar Zoni, will only be removed from the cell for one hour every day to "go over". Interactions with other inmates and officers will be severely restricted.
"Even if we can thank you for the description, in one person in this cell the officers also did not meet directly with the inmates," said Mrs. Rika.
"The visit was also carried out with CCTV and also surveillance through CCTV," he continued.
Furthermore, Rika Aprianti, denied that Ammar Zoni moved to Nusakambangan because he received a life sentence or even the death penalty.
He emphasized that the transfer to Nusakambangan, especially to the Maximum Super Prison, was based on the risk category, not on the type of case or length of the sentence.
"This is a straightenout. So those who were transferred to Nusakambangan, especially supermaximum and maximum security, were layers that were categorized as high risk," said Rika.
"This means that it doesn't depend on the case or how long the case takes," he continued.

He gave an example, an inmate with a few months remaining can be transferred if he is considered at high risk. On the other hand, prisoners with a life sentence will not be placed in Nusakambangan if they behave well.
"So he wants the case of fraud, theft or the remaining 5 months, 3 months left but it is categorized as a high risk, so we will treat it at the Maximum Super Prison," he said.
