New Facts About Husband Burns Wife In Jatinegara: Victim Ever Hides Perpetrator When Wanted By Police

JAKARTA - The PPA Unit of the East Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim managed to reveal new facts in the case of the wife who was burned by her husband in the Jatinegara area, East Jakarta.

"Y (the perpetrator) who burned his wife was a DPO. Meanwhile, his wife who was burned first (had time) we are also looking for her husband for hiding her," said East Jakarta Metro Police PPA Head, AKP Sri Yatmini when confirmed, Thursday, October 16, 2025.

Just so you know, Y had become a DPO of the East Jakarta Metro Police regarding the case of mistreatment of porridge traders some time ago.

"Yes, DPO Y (the perpetrator of the arson), his wife who hid (his husband during the extortion case). Now it's even burned," he said.

Y (the arson perpetrator) is a DPO of the East Jakarta Metro Police since 2025.

"His wife was hiding (her husband was on the run for the persecution case). Now (in fact) is burned," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the East Jakarta Metro Police had not disclosed the motive for the burning of her husband's wife in the Bidara Cina area, Jatinegara, East Jakarta. The victim had the initials CAU (24).

"The motive is still being investigated. Of course, the suspect has been identified, that's in the investigation," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Alfian to VOI at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Thursday, October 16, 2025.
