Dody Hanggodo Targets Budget Absorption Of The Ministry Of Public Works To Be 94 Percent In December

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) targets that the absorption of the 2025 fiscal year (TA) could reach more than 90 percent by December.

Although it had slowed down at the beginning of the transition period of the Prabowo-Gibran government, Dody was optimistic that the realization of finance and physical could penetrate 94 percent.

PU Minister Dody Hanggodo said, of the total budget of IDR 110 trillion, the realization that has been opened has reached IDR 93 trillion.

According to him, the challenges at the beginning of the government are a momentum to strengthen the financial system and the effectiveness of state spending.

"Yes, it's 52 percent per day. But, actually, at the beginning it was only given 29 percent, then it went up again, it went up again. So, the budget politics was quite long. But, we are accelerating, God willing, by December it could be more than 94 percent," said Dody at the Prabowo-Gibran Government 1 Year Event in Jakarta, Thursday, October 16.

According to Dody, his party will maximize budget absorption over the past three months with various efforts, such as accelerating contracts to project tenders.

"It's just a matter of accelerating contracts, accelerating tenders. So, we speed up all tenders. Because that's what we were ordered, right, build quickly, right, but effectively the mission should not be left behind," he said.

Dody emphasized that infrastructure development is not only to accelerate growth, but as a means of equity. The government focuses on building connectivity between regions so that people in remote areas can enjoy access to education, health and clean water equivalent to urban areas.
