The Government Has Prepared A New Task Force To Supervise Budget Absorption And Priority Programs
JAKARTA - The government is preparing to form a new task force (task force) which will specifically supervise and evaluate the absorption of the state budget, especially to support the implementation of President Prabowo Subianto's priority programs.
Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Susiwijono Moegiarso explained that the formation of this task force was part of a thorough evaluation of the effectiveness of state spending.
"The Minister of Finance (Purbaya Yudhi Sadives) has asked to be prepared in a kind of team or task force, that's it. Including monitoring the absorption of the budget, then for debottlenecking, deregulation," he told the media crew, Thursday, October 16.
He said the proposed formation of the task force had been submitted by the Minister of Finance Purbaya together with the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto to President Prabowo Subianto.
Susiwijono added that currently, the draft Presidential Decree (Keppres) related to the formation of the task force has also been proposed so that it is expected to run more structured and comprehensively.

"That's what we will review together later, involving all agencies, in the task force forum earlier, the Coordinating Minister, the Minister of Finance will coordinate everything," he explained.
He conveyed that this evaluation not only includes President Prabowo's priority programs, such as Free Nutrition Food (MBG) and Red and White Village Cooperatives, but also other economic stimulus programs.
"Including us, there are several economic package programs and economic stimulus that we must also review again the figures, and later the President will launch also several additional programs for additional our economic stimulus," he explained.
