Inter-Dusun Liaison Road In Purbalingga Breaks By Landslide
PURBALINGGA - Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Purbalingga Regency Prayitno said the heavy rain that occurred on Wednesday, October 15 afternoon until the afternoon resulted in a district road section in Panusupan Village sinking along the 100 meters.
The incident occurred at around 16.30 WIB after heavy rains flushed since 15.00 WIB. As a result, the district road in Panusupan Village, Rembang District, collapsed with a length of about 100 meters, 4 meters wide, and a depth of 3 meters," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 16.
He said the incident made two hamlets temporarily isolated. The affected roads are a connecting route between Hamlet 3 (Bojongsana, Ragamukti) and Hamlet 4 (Batur, Pagelaran).
"There were no casualties or injuries. However, residents in the two hamlets were temporarily isolated because the main connecting route could not be passed by vehicles," he said.
According to him, BPBD together with the Rembang Subdistrict Government and the Panusupan Village Government had carried out initial handling at the scene, including the installation of warning signs and road barriers to avoid residents' activities in landslide-prone areas.
In addition, BPBD has also coordinated with the Acting Head of the Purbalingga Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning (DPU PR) to conduct technical assessments to determine further handling steps.
Until Thursday morning, the lane was still unable to be passed by four-wheeled vehicles. Residents take advantage of alternative routes through plantation roads," he said.
He said the weather conditions at the location were cloudy on Thursday morning, so there was still the potential for further rain.
