KPK Immediately Executes Shares Worth Rp800 Billion Seized From Taspen Fictitious Investment Case
The Head of the Public Prosecutor's Task Force (Kasatgas) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Greafik Loerte said confiscated goods in the form of mutual funds worth Rp800 billion in the PT Taspen (Persero) fictitious investment corruption case were immediately executed.
This execution is said to be carried out by the Directorate of Asset Tracking, Management of Evidence, and Execution of the KPK after one of the defendants in this case, Ekiawan Heri Primaryarto, did not file an appeal. This evidence is in the form of mutual fund participation of I-Next G2 as many as 996,694,959,5143 units.
The shares have a Net Activator Value (NAB) of IDR 864 per unit. This calculation has been carried out by a forensic auditor.
"We are not the public prosecutors who carried out the execution. But friends in the Labuksi unit," Greafik told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Wednesday, October 15.
Greafik said this execution could recover state losses of Rp. 1 trillion if combined with other assets. Oleh because we plan to forward this case to our friends invasion so that it can be followed up according to their authority," he asserted.
Furthermore, Greafik assessed that the judge had carried out a progressive movement by deciding that the mutual funds were confiscated for the state.
"Because in terms of proof, the panel of judges does not only use approaches based on the law of corruption, but in the context of ensuring that the assets confiscated by investigators are part of a crime," he said.
As previously reported, the Jakarta Corruption Court Panel of Judges sentenced him to 10 years in prison in connection with the alleged fictitious investment case at PT Taspen in 2019. This case was tried by the chairman of the panel of judges Purwanto S. Abdullah with judges members Sunoto and Mulyono Dwi Purwanto.
"Kosasih has been legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption together as the primary indictment of the public prosecutor," said Chief Judge Purwanto Abdullah when reading the verdict of the panel of judges at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court, Monday, October 6.

The panel of judges in their decision stated that Kosasih was proven to have harmed state finances amounting to Rp1 trillion.
In addition to imprisonment, Kosasih, who in this case was declared to have committed corruption while serving as Investment Director of PT Taspen in 2019 was sentenced to a fine of Rp. 500 million. If he is unable to pay, he will be replaced with a subsidiary with imprisonment for 6 months.
Furthermore, Kosasih was also sentenced to additional penalties in the form of payment of replacement money amounting to Rp29.15 billion; 127,057 US dollars (US); 283,002 Singapore dollars; 10 thousand euros; 1,470 Thai baht; 30 British pounds; 128 thousand Japanese yen; 500 Hong Kong dollars; 1.26 million Korean won; and Rp2.87 million.
Meanwhile, Ekiawan Heri Primaryanto, as President Director of PT Insight Investment Management (PT IIM) was sentenced to 9 years in prison with a fine of Rp. 500 million.
"The defendant was sentenced to 9 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 500 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison," said Judge Purwanto reading the verdict.
In this case, Ekiawan was also sentenced to pay compensation worth 253,660 USD subsidiary 2 years in prison
