DPR: It's Natural That Free Nutrition Eating Programs Are Still A Lot Of Problems
JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI Habiburokhman assessed that the problems that arise in the implementation of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program are normal, considering that the scale of the program is very large and is carried out every day throughout Indonesia.
According to him, the MBG program deserves to be referred to as a 'national celebration' which of course does not escape technical problems in the field. However, the DPR continues to provide full support for its implementation because the benefits are felt directly by the community.
"It is impossible for the government not to want improvement. All programs must have problems. We just make celebrations, there can be problems, for example, missing spoons or food is not enough for guests. Moreover, this is a national celebration that is held every day," said Habiburokhman during an audience meeting with students at the parliament complex, Jakarta, Wednesday 15 October.
He added, so far he has never found a party who rejects the sustainability of the MBG program because the benefits are felt, especially by small communities. Many people want this program to continue. I have never met people who reject MBG," he said.
Habiburokhman also gave an example that many other countries have proven the success of similar programs in improving children's nutrition. Therefore, he emphasized the importance of improving technical weaknesses without stopping program implementation.
"If you want to get married, it's a hassle to take care of the reception, it's only once in a lifetime. Moreover, this is a celebration that is carried out every day. So it's natural if there are things that are not perfect," he said.

He emphasized that the DPR will continue to encourage the government to improve things that are not yet optimal, while ensuring that the MBG program continues because it has been proven to help fulfill children's nutrition in various regions.
"What we haven't done well is that we are good at supporting. This is a matter of justice and partiality to the people," said Habiburokhman.
