Machine Constraints That Cause Royal Trans Buses To Burn On Inner City Toll Roads

JAKARTA - The Royal Trans bus caught fire while crossing the KM 11 inner city toll road towards Cawang, Kelapa Gading District, North Jakarta, early Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

"We received information about the fire at around 23.24 WIB and the team immediately carried out treatment at the location," said Head of the North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept. Gatot Sulaeman when confirmed Wednesday, October 15, morning.

Gatot said, a total of three fire engines with 15 personnel were handling them.

"The extinguishing action began at 23.25 WIB and the fire was successfully extinguished at around 23.59 WIB by officers," he said.

According to Gatot, for the cause of the fire, it is suspected that there was an ignition on the engine.

Meanwhile, according to witness testimony, there was an ignition on the bus engine and the driver tried to extinguish the fire using the light fire extinguisher on the transport.

However, because the fire was getting bigger so it could not be controlled, the toll road contacted the fire team to ask for assistance in handling it.

He said the car driver suffered abrasions on his leg and a total of one soul was saved in this incident.

"The loss due to the fire is estimated at IDR 2 billion," he said.
