57 Ex-Employees Who Were Expelled Because TWK Wanted To Return To The KPK

JAKARTA - Dozens of former employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) who were dismissed because they did not pass the national insight test (TWK) expressed their desire to return. They want their rights restored.

This was conveyed by the Chairman of the Indonesia Calling (IM) 57+ Institute, Lakso Anindito. This organization was formed after dozens of KPK employees were fired because they could not become state civil servants (ASN) in the aftermath of the ratification of the KPK Law revision Number 19 of 2019.

"All one (noise, ed). Return to the KPK as a form of recovery," Lakso told reporters in Jakarta, Tuesday, October 14.

One of the efforts made, explained Lakso, was by suing the Public Information Commission (KIP). The employees requested that the results of the TWK which made them fired be opened transparently.

The document is said to be an additional ingredient to get them to work at the KPK again.

"This trial process is only part of a large advocacy for the return of the rights of 57 employees," he said.

"After four years of dismissal, until now there is no clarity on the reasons why the KPK employee must be dismissed," he continued.

Lakso also hopes that President Prabowo Subianto will take a firm stance in responding to the problems that befell 57 former KPK employees.

The return of ex-employment rights is said to be a form of commitment to strengthening the KPK.

"This is a good momentum for President Prabowo Subianto to show his commitment to strengthening the KPK through the return of the rights of 57 KPK employees to the KPK. This issue has become a protracted matter without any clarity even though there have been recommendations from the Komnas HAM and the Ombudsman," he said.

As a reminder, TWK is the aftermath of the amendment to the KPK Law Number 19 of 2019. There, it was stated that KPK employees had to be state civil servants (ASN).

The implementation was then marked by a number of irregularities. The findings of the Ombudsman, for example, had a backdate or a postponement of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) date between the KPK and BKN.

At that time, BKN was also called the Ombudsman who did not have a measuring instrument, instrument, and assessor to conduct an assessment.

This TWK then knocked out dozens of KPK employees because they did not pass. They include former investigators such as Praswad Nugraha to Novel Baswedan and Yudi Purnomo.
