Iranian Women's Prison Heats Up, British Prisoners In Espionage Case Moved
JAKARTA - British female prisoners imprisoned in Iran on charges of spying or espionage were removed after the prison where she was being held heated up recently.
Citing AFP, Tuesday, October 14, the prisoner named Lindsaymanner was transferred from Qarchak women's prison to Evin Prison in Tehran, where her husband CraigOKer was detained on the same case.
Lindsay was transferred last week as Qarchak women's prison heats up and is not conducive. The lawyers of the two British nationals have been notified by Iranian authorities.
Lindsay and Craig, both 52, have been detained since January 2025 after Iranian authorities arrested the couple as they passed Kerman, in central Iran, on a journey around the world on a motorcycle.

While no longer worried about the safety of the two tahans after the transfer, the family said they were not satisfied by keeping an eye on Lindsay and Craig's condition remotely.
Previously, the second son of a prisoner admitted that he was very worried about the unpleasant news about the condition of prisons or prisons in Iran.
Iran Human Rights, a Norwegian-based NGO, said at least 19 women's stalls in Qarchak prison in late September 2025. The action was carried out as a form of protest against the serious potential for illness and access to poor medical care in the prison.
