Young Woman Who Died In Pejaten Saw Info On The The Therapist Job Vacancies On TikTok

JAKARTA - The police revealed that RTA, a young woman in South Jakarta who was found dead in the Pejaten area, Pasar Minggu, had recently worked as a therapist.

RTA is known to have received job vacancies through the TikTok application, before being found dead on vacant land in the Pejaten area, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, on Thursday, October 2, at 05.00 WIB.

"So far, we have only received one information, namely from his brother who is also the reporter that this victim received information regarding the work from TikTok," said Head of the Women and Children Service Unit (PPA) of the South Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim, AKP Citra Ayu to reporters, Tuesday, October 14.

Citra said the information was obtained from the victim's brother who made the police report (LP). His party is still investigating whether the victim proposed independently or through third parties such as recruitment agents.

"Well, that's why we will explore how the process will be, what kind of recruitment, whether you are involved with agents too," he said.

Therefore, his party has also summoned a number of related parties and secured the identity documents of the victims and they will be questioned this week.

"We have sent invitations for clarification to related parties such as the owner, then the person who did the recruitment, then we have also written with Dukcapil Indramayu regarding the identity of the victim," he said.

The police previously revealed the identity of the therapist's body with the initials RTA which was found in the Pejaten area, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta and allegedly a victim of child exploitation.

Then, it was emphasized that the therapist's body was found not pregnant.

The police are still investigating and using Article 2 of the Law (UU) on the Crime of Trafficking in Persons (TPPO) and also the Child Protection Law.

When checking at the scene, the woman's body was in a supine position with her right tilted leg. The characteristics are wearing a gray t-shirt, gray trousers, white skin and black hair.

Then around the victim's body there was a scarf and a mobile wallet containing two cell phones (cell phones) that allegedly belonged to the victim.

Officers have examined witnesses regarding the discovery of the corpse. One of the witnesses heard a woman screaming from one of the residents of Ruko Pejaten Office Park.

In checking the victim's body, there were no signs of violence, but there were wounds on the left arm, left abdomen and chin.
