JAKARTA - The witness at the trial for alleged bribery of lobster seed export, Iwan Febrian, admitted that Anton Setyo Nugroho, ASN, was entrusted with hundreds of millions of money at the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP). The money was intended for the defendant Andreau Misanta Pribadi.

The testimony was conveyed when Iwan explained his initial introduction to Andreau, staff member Edhy Prabowo, who was then Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries. The prosecutor at the hearing asked whether there was a deposit for Andreau through Iwan.

Iwan said yes. Iwan said that Andreau contacted him to meet someone named Anton Setyo Nugroho at one of the cafes behind Hotel Sahid.

"Yes, I have, sir. That is the story on July 7, if I'm not mistaken, I was called by Mr. Andreau (to) ask for help to meet someone, to meet his friend. At that time I was in Glodok. Then I immediately met the person, who turned out to be sir Anton, "said Iwan during a trial at the Corruption Court, Jakarta, Tuesday, May 18.

During the meeting, Anton entrusted the bag to give to Andreau. According to Iwan, the contents of the bag were IDR 750 million. Anton told the contents of this bag, continued Iwan.

"Yes, he said it was Rp750 million. Then he said Rp250 million later on Friday," he said.

After receiving the money, Iwan and his colleague, Ade Mulyana Saleh, headed straight to the nearest bank. Money is transferred to the account given by Andreau.

"Directly we transfer, cash deposit to the bank directly to the number (account) given by Andreau, BCA bank," he said.

Iwan admitted that he did not clearly remember the allocation of the money. But what he did know was that the money was used to pay for the purchase of a house.

"I don't remember the news at that time, the pokanya paid for the house. I didn't know what to pay for the house, it turned out to pay for the Cilandak house," said Iwan.
