BI: ISEF 2025 Transaction Value Reaches IDR 3.1 Trillion

JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) noted that the value of business matching transactions for financing, trading, and sales turnover printed during the Indonesia Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF) on October 8-12 2025 increased to IDR 3.1 trillion, from IDR 2 trillion in the previous year.

According to the central bank, this achievement further confirms the role of ISEF as a movement to strengthen the sharia economic ecosystem that is inclusive, sustainable, and globally competitive.

"Through cross-sectoral synergies and sustainable innovation, let's make Indonesia not only a market, but also a center of world sharia economic gravity," said BI Senior Deputy Governor Destry Damayanti as in a statement received by Antara, in Jakarta, Monday, October 13.

BI noted that the implementation of the 2025 ISEF went well and involved broad participation from the community.

This achievement is a clear proof of the increasing trust and participation of national and global sharia economic actors in the development of the sharia ecosystem in Indonesia.

ISEF 2025 involves more than 700 sharia business actors, including halal and industrial MSMEs, Islamic financial institutions, creative industry players, as well as domestic and international investors from various countries.

The series of activities consisted of 22 domestic and international forums, 28 exhibitions of halal products and business linkage, 30 talk shows and community activities, as well as 20 competition categories in collaboration with 34 Ministries/Institutions and 30 international partners. This year's ISEF was also attended by 89 thousand visitors, both offline and online.

Destry also invited all parties to maintain the spirit of the synergy that had been built.

According to him, the success of the ISEF is not the end, but the beginning of a long journey towards a strong, competitive and just Indonesian sharia economy.

This year's ISEF carries the theme Synergy of Sharia Economics and Finance Strengthens Independence and Inclusive Economic Growth" and presents more than 60 main activities divided into four large clusters.

First, Halal Industry & Sharia Business Forum which displays business matching, trade and investment forum, as well as Halal Expo which brings together halal business actors with global partners.

Second, the Sharia Finance & Investment Forum which discusses strengthening Islamic financial markets, green sukuk, and Islamic social finance.

Third, Sharia Social and Education Movement which includes Islamic economic literacy and education, academic forums, to youth innovation competitions such as the Youth Sharia Entrepreneurship Forum and Shariaapreneur Innovation Challenge.

Finally, Art, Culture, and Halal Lifestyle Exhibition which displays modest fashion shows, halal culinary, and creative products based on sharia values.

The closing of the ISEF 2025 is also combined with the announcement of winners from a number of major competitions such as the Indonesia International Halal Chef Competition (IN2HCC), the National Sharia Economic Olympics (OESN), and the 2025 ISEF Award.

This year's ISEF Award was given to institutions and individuals who contributed greatly to national sharia economic and financial development.

The ISEF 2025 was held in collaboration with the National Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KNEKS), and was supported by various Ministries/Institutions, halal industry associations, Islamic financial institutions, universities, the creative community, and international partners.

In the future, BI stressed, the ISEF will continue to be developed into a global platform for sharia economic collaboration, with a focus on digitalization, financing innovation, and strengthening the national halal value chain.
