Menhaj Add Hajj Clusters For NTB In 2026, Waiting Period Reduces To 26 Years

JAKARTA - Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Mochamad Irfan Yusuf ensured that West Nusa Tenggara Province received an additional two groups of 4,000 Hajj candidates in 2026, reducing the queue period to around 26 years.

"NTB will get an additional two batches of 4,000 hajj candidates," said Irfan as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, October 12.

As a new ministry, he said, his party learned a lot from mistakes in the past to improve services to the community, even better.

"Health services for prospective pilgrims are still considered by the Saudi Arabian government to be not good. Likewise with the hajj quota for regions that are not in accordance with the Hajj Law and others," he explained.

In addition to NTB and other regions, his party ensures that all Hajj infrastructure in Hajj offices throughout Indonesia is in good condition.

His party has also conveyed to the DPR RI, so that the regional hajj quota is based on the waiting period for queues.

Meanwhile, commemorating the anniversary of the NWDI Madrasah, he reminded the two founders of NU Kiai Hasyim Asyari and NW Kiai Zainudin Abdul Majid to study together in Makkah. Having the same scientific adapt and the same thoughts so there is no need to argue.

"I also advise the manager of the cottage, so that descendants can immediately continue to be solemn so that they remain independent in carrying it out. Included in the education curriculum," he said.

Gubernur NTB, Lalu Muhamad Iqbal menyampaikan, Kiai Hasyim Asyari dengan revolusi jihad-nya maka Kiai Zainudin Abdul Majid dengan revolusi pendidikannya menjadikan keduanya Pahlawan Nasional.

"Ikhtiar dan perjuangan revolusioner 90 tahun kemarin, telah terlihat dari ribuan sekolah NW di seluruh nusantara," tuturnya.

Menurutnya, ini menjadi pengakuan, masyarakat mendapatkan manfaat dari kiprah NW selama ini.

Dirinya berharap kontribusi dalam pengembangan umat, merambah pada aspek ekonomi dan lainnya.
