Operating At The End Of The Year, Revitalization Of The LNG Tank Arun Capai 81 Percent

PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) revealed that the LNG Arun tank revitalization project will be completed by the end of 2025. Revitalization, which is run through the grandson of PT Perta Arun Gas (PAG), has reached 81.1 percent for tanks and 94.39 percent for supporting facilities.

PGN's Director of Infrastructure and Technology, Hery Cheapmanta, explained that this revitalization is part of PGN's medium-term strategy to strengthen LNG's business fundamentals.

Arun has great potential as a regional LNG hub because of its strategic location in the main trade route and its proximity to the LNG Southeast Asia and South Asia markets. Revitalization of the F-6004 tank is the first step to support this direction," said Hery, Friday, October 10.

He explained that the F-6004 tank, which will be active again, is expected to increase terminal utilization by up to 25 percent. With this additional capacity, PGN projects the potential for additional contributions to consolidated revenue, as well as has a positive economic impact through creating direct and indirect employment opportunities in the Aceh region.

With the Revitalization Project and the development of this Hub business, PAG has also shown its integrity to compete with the Reputable LNG Player in the world.

The revitalization of LNG Arun also reflects PGN's adaptive strategy for the dynamics of the energy industry. As LNG demand increases, infrastructure development is an important key to strengthening supply flexibility and supporting the optimization of domestic gas sources.

In addition to business contributions, this project is expected to bring added economic value to the people of Aceh and expand access to LNG utilization at the national and regional levels.

"As Pertamina's Gas Subholding, PGN is committed to managing LNG infrastructure with the principle of caution and sustainability. This effort not only ensures reliable energy availability, but also strengthens the role of LNG as part of the clean energy transition to the Net Zero Emission target," concluded Hery.
