26 Years Of YCAB Foundation: Celebrating Achievements, Looking To The Future
JAKARTA - The Love Children of the Nation Foundation (YCAB) Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses on empowering the younger generation and their prosperous families through financial education and inclusion, celebrates its 26-year journey through an event titled The Next 25, A Night of Celebration. This event marks the important milestone of YCAB's journey in presenting a sustainable social impact as well as introducing a vision for the next 25 years to expand reach and deepen impact for the Indonesian people.
Since its establishment in 1999, the YCAB Foundation has consistently carried out missions to break the chain of intergenerational poverty. Through access to education for children from prosperous families as well as economic empowerment programs for parents, YCAB has reached millions of beneficiaries in various parts of Indonesia. To date, YCAB has had an impact on more than 5 million beneficiaries, mobilized more than IDR 1.8 trillion in social funds, and accompanied more than 218,000 women MSME actors to increase their business capacity and family welfare.
This two and a half decade achievement became the foundation for the YCAB Foundation to move into a new chapter through the 'The Next 25.' This program marks YCAB's commitment to strengthening social innovation, expanding cross-sectoral collaboration, and ensuring more sustainable impacts for the younger generation and underprivileged families in Indonesia.
"For 26 years YCAB has been here to serve, and we will continue to be there to serve better and more meaningfully. In the future, we will continue to produce innovations so that the assistance we provide can be sustainable, so that more families can get out of the cycle of poverty," said Veronica Colondam, Founder & CEO of the YCAB Foundation, in his statement, Friday, October 10.
Veronica hopes that in the future the YCAB Foundation can have a wider and more sustainable impact. Through initiatives such as the Social Capital Capital Raising and a new role as the implementer of the grant program (grantmaking), YCAB is committed to strengthening the education and economic empowerment ecosystem so that more Indonesian families can be independent.
In the next 25 years plan, the YCAB Foundation also introduced the impact investment initiative through mutual fund products for the Empowerment of Funds and PNM Cinta Anak Bangsa Fixed Income Fund as a new approach in creating sustainable social impacts. Through this initiative, people can invest while doing good deeds, contributing to economic education and empowerment programs, so that every investment made does not only provide financial value, but also brings real social benefits to preseptable families in Indonesia.
