Afghanistan Border Ambush Kills 30 Militants And 11 Pakistani Soldiers
JAKARTA - Pakistan's joint forces carried out an ambush near the Afghan border that resulted in the death of 30 militants and the death of 11 soldiers.
According to the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), the military's media wing was quoted as saying by AN, Friday, October 10, that Pakistani soldiers died in an ambush that ended in a shootout overnight in the Orakzai district.
The ISPR stated that security forces had carried out a series of "retaliatory operations" against Pakistani Taliban militants involved in the heinous incident that occurred in the Orakzai district.
During an operation in the Jamal Maya area, Orakzai, 30 Pakistani Taliban militants were killed after intense gunfire since the October 7 incident.
"This successful operation has replied to heinous acts and has brought the main perpetrators to court," said ISPR.
The sanitation operation is underway to hunt down and eradicate other Indian-sponsored khaji (militan) found in the area, "continued the statement.
