LMKN Commissioner Calls Management And Inappropriate Royalties Of IDR 17 Billion
JAKARTA - The Commissioner of the National Collective Management Institute (LMKN), Ahmad Ali Fahmi, stated that his party had found inappropriate management of the royalties forming rights.
The findings were revealed when Fahmi was one of the speakers in a discussion at the 2025 Indonesian Music Conference (KMI) which took place at The Sultan Hotel & Residence, Central Jakarta, Thursday, October 9.
Fahmi himself was just appointed as Commissioner of the LMKN for the period 2025-2028 on August 8. He said the findings of managing the inappropriate royal funds reached Rp17 billion.
"When 8-25 August we found the fact that there was an inappropriate fund management, if my language was not right in the institution," said Fahmi.
"Within two days, we were able to withdraw the funds. From the transfer that came out in the amount of almost Rp. 17 billion, we withdrew almost Rp. 13 billion back to LMKN," he added.

Fahmi did not explain where the royalties were flowing, but it was stated that the distribution was carried out without paying attention to the formality aspect.
"Those are royalties distribution funds that have been carried out, but in our opinion at that time, the new commissioner was formally flawed," he said.
Furthermore, Fahmi said that LMKN had informed the parties concerned that the collected royalty funds could be distributed to the right person.
The commissioner told friends who felt they had the right to this distribution, to complete the distribution data document. And what formula is used, so this must be distributed to person A, so to person B, and so on," said Fahmi.
"But until now, there has been no LMK that has complained about it. So, that is one form of caution from us as a form of implementation of transparency in distribution, so we cannot submit the funds yet," he concluded.
