A Total Of 590 Participants Have Registered For The TBK Sport Festival 2025

JAKARTA A total of 590 participants have registered to take part in the third edition of the Sport Festival City Limit Tour (TBK) this year which is planned to take place early next month.

The cycling event, which comes with the concept of recreative, educative, and environmentally friendly, will be held on November 8, 2025 in the SouthCity area, Pondok Cabe, South Tangerang.

The 2025 TBK Sport Festival, which will carry the theme Rise Beyond Limits, will come with a new spirit to invite people to explore city boundaries as well as exceed the limits of their abilities.

The chairman of the TBK Festival 2025 Committee, Budi Haryadi, explained that events are not just sports activities but also urban tourism experiences that unite elements of recreation, education, and concern for the environment.

"We designed TBK as an activity that not only nourishes the body, but also enriches social experiences and cultural insight. We want to invite people to see the city in a different way, from the top of the bicycle saddle," said Budi.

This event is not only a sports space, but also a means of strengthening solidarity between communities and appreciating the beauty and diversity of the city.

The prepared route will take participants across various corners of the city to enjoy natural panoramas, get to know cultural heritage, and explore iconic landmarks.

Budi said that this year the TBK Festival appeared more inclusive with three route categories, namely 50 kilometers of road insurance, 100 kilometers of road insurance, and 75 kilometers of all-terrain.

"The 50-kilometer category is a differentiator from the previous year because it was specially prepared for beginner participants who had only tested the challenge for the first time. Participants can choose according to their respective interests," he said.

Interest in participants has continued to increase since it was first held in 2023. During the first edition, this event was attended by more than 500 participants, then increased to 750 participants in the next edition.

For this year, registration is still open until October 20, 2025. This extension was carried out due to the high number of enthusiasts who wanted to be involved in the TBK Sport Festival.

Apart from being a sporting event, the 2025 TBK Festival also carries a mission to empower the local economy through bazaar activities involving MSME players, the creative community, and the Regional Government.

This step is expected to encourage the development of sport tourism as well as strengthen the position of South Tangerang as a cyclist-friendly city.

Support for this event came from various parties, including the Indonesian Bicycle Entrepreneurs Forum (Fopsindo) and the Indonesian Bicycle Sports Association (ISSI).

The head of the Fopsindo, Eko Wibowo, assessed that activities such as the City Boundary Tour have great potential in encouraging the growth of the national bicycle industry.

"Activities such as the City Boundary Tour not only spur the spirit of the community to live actively and healthyly, but also open up space for business development in the bicycle industry," he said.

The Secretary General of ISSI, Parama Nugroho, also appreciated this community-based initiative. He hopes that this activity can support improving bicycle achievements in Indonesia.

"This community activity is very supportive of achievements in cycling. Not a few cyclists come from grassroots and grow from bicycle communities," he said.

Meanwhile, bicycle activist Azwar Hadi Kusuma views the TBK Festival as a symbol of collaboration and solidarity between communities.

"We really support events like this because bicycles are a popular reference for us as a means of exercise to reduce stress. We certainly are very supportive and hopefully the TBK event will continue," he said.
