Gaza Was Bombarded Again Despite Israel-Hamas Agree To Ceasefire

JAKARTA - The Israeli military resumed airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, just hours after the ceasefire agreement with Hamas was announced.

This condition sparked concerns over the continuation of the two-year conflict that has killed tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians.

Reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Thursday, October 9, medical officers and eyewitnesses said four civilians were injured in an attack targeting a number of points in the Zeitoun neighborhood, Gaza City. Thick smoke was seen rising from the site of the attack.

In the southern part of the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces were also reportedly shooting several areas in Khan Younis, resulting in three injuries.

Airstrikes and artillery fire continue in various areas within the Palestinian enclave, particularly in the Tel Eve and Sabra neighborhoods of Gaza City.

Heavy gunfire was reportedly heard non-stop in a number of areas of Gaza City. So far, there have been no official reports of the death toll from the attack.

In fact, on Thursday morning, Hamas and Israel reached a ceasefire agreement at a meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, based on a peace proposal submitted by United States President Donald Trump.

The plan contains the 20 points, which was first announced on September 29, covered the release of all Israeli prisoners in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners, the complete cessation of military attacks, the deployment of Hamas weapons, and the start of Gaza's rebuilding program.

Since October 2023, Israel has launched a genocide war under the pretext of destroying Hamas.

The military of the United States' support Zionist regime has killed nearly 67,200 Palestinian innocents in the Gaza Strip, most of whom are women and children.

The persistent airstrikes have also left the Palestinian enclave almost uninhabitable, triggering hunger and widespread disease spread.
