"The Gaza ceasefire will begin tonight after the government officially ratified the agreement," PMO said.

A similar announcement was also made by a spokesman for the Qatari Foreign Ministry Majed Al Ansari with details to be announced later.

"The mediators announced that tonight an agreement has been reached on all the terms and mechanisms for implementing the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, which will lead to the end of the war, the release of Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners, as well as the entry of aid," Al Ansari tweeted on social media X.

"The details will be announced later," he added.

Meanwhile, confirming the agreement had been reached, Hamas in a statement urged US President Donald Trump and the countries involved to force Israel to fully adhere to the deal, quoted from the BBC.
