TNI Spreads New Service Uniforms To All Soldiers Gradually
JAKARTA - Head of the Information Center (Kapuspen) TNI Headquarters Major General Freddy Ardianzah ensured that his party would gradually distribute the new security green service uniforms to all soldiers.
According to Freddy, this must be done because currently some TNI soldiers are still using the long pattern of malvinas in carrying out their duties.
"As a decision from the leadership that it will later become the latest field official clothing from the TNI, it will be distributed," said Freddy when met at TNI Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Thursday, confiscated by Antara.
Freddy admitted that so far his party had only distributed the uniform on a limited basis, especially to troops and high-ranking officials who participated in the celebration of the TNI's 80th Anniversary a few days ago.
In the future, he ensures that all high, middle to mid-level officials in the field will wear new uniforms in order to create an impression of uniformity, discipline and cohesiveness in their duties.
Previously, the Deputy Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General TNI Tandyo Budi Revita, explained that the replacement of the new TNI's field service clothing (PDL) was carried out because of the very old types of logging, namely Loreng Malvinas from 1982.
"In terms of vegetation too, with this new stripe and color, if we enter the forest and so on, this is more disguised," Tandyo said when met in Jakarta, Wednesday.

The new uniform has a smaller stripe with a younger green color than the old PDL. Tandyo explained that later all TNI dimensions would wear the uniform.
He said that the change in color or loss in the TNI PDL had also been in line with the decision of the TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto.
"The decision of the Commander in Chief was issued on September 27, 2025 yesterday," he said.
For this reason, he said several TNI officials had started wearing the uniforms, including himself and the Deputy Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Muhammad Saleh Mustafa.
