Garuda Superior School Program Present In Ambon, Strengthen Digital Learning And STEM
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs inaugurated SMA Siwalima Ambon as part of the Garuda Superior School Program, in equitable quality education in Indonesia.
Through the Garuda Superior School program, the government expands its outstanding school network with national standards supported by digital technology, adaptive learning systems, and collaboration between regions.
With the support of digital transformation, access to scholarships, and strengthening Science, Technology, Engineer, and Mathematics (STEM), Maluku students are expected to be ready to compete globally.
"Garuda's school not only produces children who excel in academic fields, especially science and technology, but also have strong characters," said Minister of Trade Meutya Hafid in an official broadcast quoted Thursday, October 9.
Because according to him, character is one of the main capitals besides science. Therefore, the presence of the Garuda School further strengthens this in addition to superior knowledge, especially in the STEM sector.
The Minister of Trade explained that the Garuda Superior School program utilizes digital technology to expand learning space. Where the Ministry of Communication and Industry will ensure the network is fast and stable.
Each school is connected to a national platform that facilitates teacher exchange, teaching material, and remote mentoring. So that students from the eastern region can take collaborative classes with students from all over Indonesia.
In addition, the integration of SMA Siwalima in the Garuda program also brings real benefits to the people of Ambon, such as internet access that supports digital learning.

As part of Garuda's Superior School, SMA Siwalima will function as a learning hub and digital innovation for other schools in Maluku.
Garuda School is one of President Prabowo Subianto's Fastest Result Programs (PHTC) for equitable education in all corners of Indonesia.
Until 2029, the government targets to develop 80 schools for the Garuda Transformation School. As for the Garuda Baru School, the target set is to build 20 schools by 2029.
