Alleged Prostitution, Satpol PP Combs Moroseneng's Used Houses
JAKARTA - The Surabaya City Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) combed through the former localization of Moroseneng, Surabaya as a follow-up to public complaints regarding allegations of negative activity in the area.
Head of the Benowo Sub-district of Surabaya, Denny Christupel Tupamahu, said that during the search, his party involved joint officers from the TNI, Polri, local area.
"Officers combed houses in the area to ensure that there were no negative activities such as prostitution carried out in the former localization," he said in Surabaya, Wednesday, which was confiscated by Antara.
He said this localization had been closed since 2015, patrols and supervision were always carried out.
"This patrol is carried out by Surabaya City Satpol PP officers and Satpol PP officers who are on duty in Benowo District," he said.
Denny explained that this supervision was an effort to respond to public complaints on allegations of disturbing negative activities.
"Satpol PP carries out strict supervision in every house on suspicion of prostitution activities that disturb residents," he said.
He said that when the officers checked, they did not find any suspicious activity in the area.
"We did not find the alleged activity. Because the door was locked, locked from outside. As well as the lights were turned off, so action was needed in accordance with applicable regulations," he said.

Denny emphasized that the supervision of the former Moroceneng localization would be massively carried out to prevent negative activity.
"This activity will be sustainable to provide a sense of security and comfort to the community," he said.
This surveillance effort is carried out by checking the location and seeing the potential for negative activity.
"This will be continued with coordination with the ranks of the District Leadership Communication Forum to solve the problem in more detail," he explained.
Denny stated that supervision is not limited to Moroceneng. His party together with officers will also target other ex-localization locations.
"Not only in the Moroceneng localization, but we will carry out supervision of the former Klakah Rejo localization," he said.
