Governor Sherly explained his intention to lift the regional spice, especially nutmeg and cloves, which has long been known as a leading commodity.
"Our area has long been known as a producer of nutmeg and cloves, while Sido Muncul is very experienced in mixing spices into traditional drinks whose properties can be optimized," said Governor Sherly Tjoanda Laos.
Apart from spices, North Maluku also wants to promote their distinctive drink, Sarabati, which is a legacy from the Sultanate of Tidore and Ternate and is known as drinks for the kings.
