Vadel Badjideh's Attorney Affirms LM's Abortion Only Happened Once

JAKARTA Vadel Badjideh's attorney, Oya Abdul Malik, confirmed that the abortion incident that dragged his client's name only happened once, not twice as mentioned in the judge's decision.

"When the trial was described by the assembly. Who bought the medicine, who ordered the medicine, under what pseudonym, then what did he drink. After the bleeding came out, then he just contacted Vadel. It was conveyed by the assembly," said Oya Abdul Malik at the South Jakarta District Court, Monday, October 6.

Oya then highlighted the assembly's assessment which she judged to be illogical medically illogical. He explained that the results of the forensic expert's statement presented at the trial actually strengthened that pregnancy only occurred once.

"Then the panel said, he said the first abortion in May, bleeding. In June, the fetus came out as big as a doll was intact. Maybe it's not like this for a month? So I want to emphasize again, yes, the abortion is only once, the pregnancy is only once," said Oya Abdul Malik.

Furthermore, Oya explained that the first abortion attempt failed, so the fetus continued to grow until it finally came out in June.

"So the attempted abortion at the beginning of the bleeding didn't come out, it didn't work. So the baby developed. In June it came out. Maybe a miscarriage was due to the initial abortion attempt, so it was fully released. The assembly said it was as big as a doll," he continued.

In his statement, Oya invited the public to recalculate the age of the fetus mentioned in the forensic expert's statement. He said the fact shows that the alleged pregnancy occurred before Vadel got to know the victim.

"If in June the fetus is as big as a doll, let's count it down. Because according to the forensic expert presented by the prosecutor, the fetal age at the time of exit was 26 to 28 weeks. We count back, it was 5 months. From June 5 months to what month? " he said.

He added, "Please answer it by the community. In March, Lolly just came to Indonesia. So just answer it yourself, it's not me who spoke. You all hear, some live instead," said Oya Abdul Malik.

Oya also mentioned the statement of the panel of judges who said that this case was a public concern because it involved public figures, both from the defendant and the victim.

"Then after knocking on the hammer, the panel said, Vadel, what you are doing, this is not a strange matter, right? Many other defendants did. What became strange was that Vadel was a public figure and the victim was a public figure. It would be a blunder then," he concluded.
