Arctic Open 2025: Indonesia Only Sends 3 Representatives
JAKARTA Indonesia only sent three representatives for the BWF Super 500 Arctic Open 2025 which will take place this week.
The tournament is scheduled to take place on 7-12 October 2025 in Vantaan Energia Areena, Finland. The total prize provided is 475 thousand US dollars or Rp7.8 billion.
The three Indonesian representatives who will appear there are all from the women's doubles number, namely Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi/Lanny Tria Mayasari, Rachel Alllessya Rose/Febi Setianingrum, and Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari.
These names are a new composition pair being tested by the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI). They were overhauled in early August 2025.

Amalia/Lanny previously just played together at the Hong Kong Open 2025. In the Super 500 BWF level tournament, their journey ran aground in the second half.
Meanwhile, this is Rachel/Febi's third tournament. They previously played in Hong Kong and China Masters 2025. In a row they lost in the first and second rounds of tournaments.
Febriana / Meilysa have previously appeared in Hong Kong and China Masters 2025. The pair returned home in the second half in Hong Kong and were immediately eliminated in the first half in China.
At the 2025 Arctic Open, Amalia/Lanny will start their journey against Arisa Igarashi/Chiru Shida from Japan, Rachel/Febi meet Shu Liang/Li Hua Zhou (China), and Febriana/Maya wait for opponents from the qualifying round.
Indonesia's decision to only send these three representatives is likely due to preparations for the Denmark Open and French Open 2025 later, both of which are Super 750 BWF status.
