PTPP Completes Rengasdengklok Hospital, Realizes Government Asta Cita Program In Equitable Health Services

JAKARTA - PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), a national construction and investment company under the auspices of Danantara Indonesia, has successfully completed the construction of the Rengasdengklok Regional General Hospital (RSUD) with a contract value of IDR 247.49 billion.

This strategic project was completed on time, according to the implementation period from November 14, 2023 to December 27, 2024, with the achievement of 100 percent realization. The presence of the Rengasdengklok Hospital answered the needs of public health services in Karawang, especially in the northern region such as Rengasdengklok, Batujaya, Pakisjaya, Tirtajaya, Jayakerta, Pedes, and surrounding areas.

With this facility, residents no longer have to travel long distances to the city center of Karawang to obtain adequate medical services. This development also supports the implementation of the government's Asta Cita program, which emphasizes improving the quality of human resources and equitable distribution of health services for all Indonesian people.

Through this new facility, the local government together with PTPP present a closer, more equitable, and equitable health infrastructure for the people of North Karawang. The Regent of Karawang, Aep Syaepuloh, expressed his appreciation for the success of this development.

The Rengasdengklok Hospital is a tangible manifestation of equitable health services in Karawang. We are very satisfied with the work of PTPP. Hopefully this synergy will continue for the welfare of the community," he said, in a written statement, Monday, October 6.

PTPP's Corporate Secretary, Joko Raharjo, revealed that the Rengasdengklok Hospital was built with a class C hospital standard and equipped with modern facilities such as emergency rooms, inpatient rooms, operating rooms, laboratories, to hemodialization services.

"This facility is in line with the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) program, ensuring that coastal communities and remote areas north of Karawang can access equivalent health services," Joko explained.

Furthermore, Joko explained that this project is fully supported by the Karawang Regional Budget through a mechanism that is transparent and closely monitored, so that development runs on time and according to specifications.

In addition, the planning process also involves local stakeholders and the surrounding community so that the facility design really fits the needs of the community.

"With the completion of the Rengasdengklok Hospital, PTPP reiterated its commitment as a strategic partner of the government in presenting equitable, modern and sustainable health infrastructure. It is hoped that the presence of this hospital will not only improve the quality of health services, but also become a symbol of equitable development that supports the welfare of the people of North Karawang," concluded Joko.
