Bulog 'GP Ansor Cooperation Build Food Distribution Network

JAKARTA - Perum Bulog and the Youth Movement (GP) Ansor collaborate to strengthen the national food distribution network while maintaining supply and price stability.

This collaboration was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) which took place at the Bulog Headquarters, Jakarta, Friday, October 3.

Bulog President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani said that this collaboration with GP Ansor became an important foundation in building a more resilient, independent and sustainable national food ecosystem.

"Bulog is committed to continuing to ensure food availability and price affordability for all levels of society," Rizal said in an official statement, Friday, October 3.

GP Ansor is considered to have a broad network that can support food distribution to grassroots. With more than 8 million cadres spread throughout Indonesia, 483 branch managers (regencies/cities), 4,886 sub-district heads (sub-districts), up to 22,542 branch leaders (villages/kelurahan) this network will strengthen Bulog's efforts to maintain supply stabilization and food prices.

Rizal said that this network support will be an additional force for Perum Bulog in carrying out assignments to maintain supply stabilization and food prices throughout Indonesia.

"As a first step in implementing cooperation, GP Ansor has registered 116 business units and members as Rumah Pangan Kita (RPK) until October 2, 2025. This number will continue to grow along with the high interest of GP Ansor cadres to play an active role as Bulog food distribution partners," he said.

To ensure transparency, continued Rizal, every transaction between GP Ansor members as Friends of the RPK and Bulog will involve banks, especially in the context of assignments related to budgeting from the Government.

Rizal said the scope of cooperation includes the synergy of food procurement, price stabilization collaboration, the implementation of the Cheap Market Movement (GPM), the development of partnership networks, as well as literacy programs and food inclusion.

In addition, Rizal revealed that this cooperation is in line with the President's directives regarding strengthening food security as a pillar of national independence and sovereignty.

"Therefore, Perum Bulog continues to open collaboration spaces with various parties, including GP Ansor which has a wide network down to the village and sub-district levels," he said.

Sementara itu, Ketua Umum GP Ansor, Assin Jauharuddin menegaskan dukungan organisasinya.

Dia juga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Perum Bulog karena telah menjadi garda depan dalam menjaga pangan nasional.

“Kerja sama ini bukan hanya memberikan manfaat ekonomi bagi kader dan unit usaha GP Ansor, tetapi juga memiliki nilai sosial dalam memastikan masyarakat memperoleh pangan dengan harga terjangkau,” ujarnya.

Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of GP Ansor, Assin Jauaruddin, emphasized his organizational support.

He also thanked Perum Bulog for being at the forefront of maintaining national food.

"This cooperation not only provides economic benefits for GP Ansor cadres and business units, but also has social value in ensuring that people get food at affordable prices," he said.
